Heritage Landscape Plans and Reports

Remembrance Driveway
Sydney to Canberra

A heritage landscape report is necessary when evaluating a heritage site to determine the impact of proposed or surrounding development, subdivision of the site or protection of an historic landscape. Retaining and protecting a heritage landscape surrounding a significant structure will help to maintain the integrity of the item.

Landscape Conservation Managements Plans (LCMP), Landscape Heritage Impact Assessments and Vegetation Assessments can be prepared to the requirements of Local Councils and other public authorities, including the State Heritage Office and the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning.

These plans explain the significance of the heritage landscape, including the heritage conservation area. Significant vegetation is identified, and a detailed management plan prepared to protect the significance of the natural and cultural landscape. The plans may also include guidelines for additional development or maintenance of the landscape.

These plans are of particular importance in conserving the landscape, while allowing them to develop. Areas of study may include the whole site, or curtilage areas around significant structures.

Landscape Conservation management plans and vegetation assessment studies for Heritage evaluation have been prepared for many  significant historic properties, including 'Anglewood' Burradoo, 'Hope Farm' Cattai, and 'Heritage Park' Bowral.
